About Iapetus
The two-toned moon, dark as coal on one side and bright white on the other. Dust swept up from Phoebe paints its leading hemisphere. A mountain ridge up to 13 km tall runs along its equator. Its discoverer noticed it vanish on one side of its orbit because the dark face reflects so little light.
